create a timeline on Facts Important to understanding
create a timeline on Facts Important to understanding the history of race relations in the USA, from the beginning of the thirteen colonies in the seventeenth century until the present. This timeline should be submitted by the last day of instruction for the semester . Please see file below for help in creating a Timeline.
Instructions about Creating a Timeline
The purpose of the timeline is to ensure that you can place things in perspective historically. I am therefore asking that you create and maintain a timeline of events that you encounter in your readings, starting now and ending during the last week of instruction for the semester. To give you a start here are a few things for your timeline, Start with this date in the 17th century when slavery began in the USA. Fit things into your chart in the proper historical order. You may make subdivisions in your chart according to century (e.g. 17th century, 18th century, 19th century etc.) Be as creative as you wish to be in making your timeline interesting to read. You will be graded on the relevance of the items to the topic of Race Relations. If something is not obviously relevant, add a line of explanation to that item, saying why you think it is relevant.
