Annotated Bibliography

This assignment must follow the template provided.

This assessment requires you to explore the literature. Using the PICOT you developed at the beginning of the course, search the literature (library database) to find 2 research articles that are examples of 2 different levels on the levels of evidence hierarchy. The pyramid that illustrates the levels of hierarchy is provided in instructional materials. Please read about the levels of evidence to ensure you understand them before selecting your articles.

  1. Develop your title page
  2. Page 1: Provide your APA 7th edition reference for your 1st article at the top of the page.
  3. In paragraph 1, identify the level of evidence on the hierarchy, summarize the design, sample, hypothesis/research question and any other components of the study itself
  4. In paragraph 2, discuss the findings and the relevance/importance of the study to nursing practice (ie. why is this information important to know?)
  5. NO CONCLUSION is needed.
  6. On a new page, Provide your APA 7th edition reference for your 2nd article at the top of the page.
  7. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the second article. Again, no conclusion is needed.

Your studies MUST be less than 5 years old (no exceptions).

  • Identify studies by level of evidence.

Style

  • Unless otherwise specified, all the written assignment must follow APA 7th edition formatting, citations, and references.
  • Make sure you cross-reference the APA 7th edition manual as well before submitting the assignment.

To be successful, complete the following steps in order:

  1. Review the instructional materials and finish learning activities in module 4
  2. Review or download the grading rubric and the annotated bibliography template.  
    • To download template, click on File > Save as > Download a copy to your computer
  3. Open the template on your computer.
  4. STEP 4. Save the document with the filename: “Lastname_Firstname_Module_4_Assessment_8” (Example: Smith_Jill_Module_4_Assessment_8.docx)

Note: You will have three (3) attempts to submit a written assignment, only the final attempt will be graded. For each attempt you will receive a TurnItIn originality report. This will give you a chance to correct the assignment based on the TurnItIn report score.  You can use TurnItIn’s website for instructions on how to view the originality report. Your TurnItIn score may high in this assignment due to the required template. 

Kindly note: If a submission has been made for more than 48 hours without a re-submission, it will be considered final and will be subject to being graded.
