With words like battle or journey come to mind in the healthcare setting, this brings back a lot of memories for me.  When I hear the word “journey”, I first think of moving down a path towards a huge, accomplished goal, and every step it takes you to accomplish this goal is your journey.  When I hear about the work battle, I think of how hard of a fight you had, whether you lost a lot of weight while being sick or dealing with a sickness and overcoming it. These words are very strong and powerful words to be said. I think they are bad words when it comes to the side of death, meaning that sometimes these words mean something like they lost the battle.  But even then, with death, these words are still strong and powerful.  Many times, we do not celebrate the bad and the good.  We forget about how rough life really is and how when it comes to the time of our lives, we turn to higher ups to protect us.

I would say a metaphor or phrase that described an illness will always be the CORONA VIRUS.   This in the beginning was an uncomfortable, confused, horrible virus that spread to a pandemic across the world.  Many people didn’t know what to expect. Many people lost a lot of families. And many people still to this day fear the corona virus.  This will never be forgotten and never understood.  Hearing this phrase always brings back different memories for anyone involved.   In the end many times we go through life fighting battles and complete our journeys.
