Adolescence is a very important time in the sexual life cycle. Physical maturity takes place, increased social interaction occurs, and individuals begin to explore intimacy. Parents are still a major influence in their childrens lives and can have an impact on their childrens emerging sexuality. As children move into adolescence, however, the influence of peers becomes increasingly strong.
